Q: What does ""balayage"" mean in the swatch description of Beach House Rooted, and why is it in quotation marks

Balayage is a French styling and coloring technique that means ""sweeping.""  With true balayage hair, the dyes and lighteners are literally hand-painted onto the hair, getting more intense towards the ends of the hairs, and giving a multicolor transition from roots to tips.  The reason we put ""balayage"" in quotation marks in the swatch description is because we don't actually hand-paint the wigs in that style -- they're directly manufactured that way to imitate it.

This one is just screaming for a pair of big 1960s Italian-style sunglasses and a Jersey cotton top with narrow navy horizontal stripes.  Very beachy!
